Category: October
The folks at NASA GISS must have thought all of their Christmases had come at once when their spreadsheets told them that the October just gone was the hottest one on record. The problem is, that because it reflected their strange reality so well, they didn't do a bit of checking before publishing and putting out a press release. It turns out that somebody had pasted September data in for the whole of Russia.
Over at Steve McIntyre's Climate Audit site there is a post titled Did Napoleon Use Hansen's Temperature Data? with this:
It's colder in Russia in October than in September, as Napoleon found out to his cost in 1812.
I suspect Hitler discovered something similar in 1941.
