I've often thought trivia competitions are soft general knowledge quizzes. Sometimes, though, we stumble on real/true/genuine pieces of trivia. Here is one from Jack Klugman's Wikipedia page:
In 1957, he appeared in the film 12 Angry Men as Juror #5 and is the last surviving actor who played a juror in that movie.

I suspect I am going to work my way through the clivejames.com site and read everything. Just after the Kevin '07 election he wrote this insightful piece. The language is probably a bit clever (I found I had to re-read several paragraphs) but what it has to say is quite prescient given the time it was written.
